Adding ISDN devices
You can configure ISDN (Integrated Services Digital
Network) adapters on your UnixWare 7 system as part of a
WAN (Wide Area Network) solution.
Three separate activities are required:
-
Physically install a ``terminal adapter'' following the
instructions in the hardware documentation.
-
Run the
Network Configuration Manager
in the WAN view to configure the ISDN
adapter driver.
-
Configure a
WAN protocol
(such as PPP) using the
Network Configuration Manager
in the WAN view.
On UnixWare 7 systems, ISDN modems are
configured using the same procedures as conventional modems; see
``Adding and configuring modems''.
For information about configuring Local Area Networks
(LANs), see
``Configuring LAN connections''.
New and modified network adapter drivers are available
periodically.
Additional and updated drivers compatible with UnixWare
are available through the
SCO Compatible Hardware Web Pages.
For the new network features and drivers included
with UnixWare 7, see New features.
