Setting access for remote systems
When you first set up a printer, all remote systems are denied access to
that printer. You can set up access to local printers for remote systems
by doing the following:
-
In the
Printer Setup Manager,
select the printer that you want to allow or deny access to, then select
Printer Set Remote Access.
-
Select the ``Access Mode'' (either a list of
systems denied access or allowed access).
-
You have two choices for adding hosts to your list:
-
Enter a remote host name
and click on the adjacent button (Allow Access
or Deny Access).
-
Select a host from the ``Host List'', then click
on Add.
-
To remove a host from the list, select it and
click on Remove.
-
You also can search for a specified user by entering
the name in the ``Search for'' field.
