The SCO MAC Driver Interface is a simple, STREAMS-based MAC provider interface used to implement drivers for network adapter cards for SVR5 and SCO OpenServer 5 systems.

Earlier versions of SCO OpenServer 5 used LLI, a precursor of MDI, for network adapter drivers. SCO SVR5 1 and 2 used DLPI for network adapter drivers. See ``Porting network adapter drivers to MDI 2'' for information about porting drivers from either of these interfaces.
