Authorizations allow users to run certain system programs.
In the Account Manager, select the user name, then select Users Authorizations.
Account username Has Owner Privileges assigns all authorizations, creating what is known as a system owner. This can also be accomplished using the make-owner(1M) command. See ``The root account and system owner'' for more information.
The Administer Filesystems authorization should only be assigned to persons entrusted with system administration.
Authorizations

Shutdown System | ability to shut down the system using the Shutdown Manager |
Administer Intranet | use the Network Configuration Manager to configure TCP/IP and network connections to remote systems |
Administer File Systems | use the Filesystem Manager to add, configure, and manage filesystems |
Administer Printers | use the Printer Manager to add, configure, and remove printers |
Change System Tunables | use the System Tuner Manager to change the kernel tunable parameters |
Monitor System Resources | use the System Monitor to view how system resources are used |
Additional permissions might appear if you have purchased and
installed add-on software packages.
Users lacking the required authorization to run a SCOadmin manager
will see the message: You are not authorized to run...
