Performing basic system monitoring and tuning

Checking file security

The privilege database (/etc/security/tcb/privs) associates programs with the privileges necessary to run them and includes a checksum that is used to verify the validity of each file. If this database becomes corrupted, it can seriously interfere with system operation. If a system program has been replaced or corrupted, the database information can be used to identify it.

In the Reports Manager, select Reports -> File Security. If there are no problems, the system displays a message to that effect.
