By default, SCOadmin is configured to use the rsh(1) utility for remote execution of administrative applications. You can also configure SCOadmin to use other utilities that supply stronger authentication and encryption mechanisms (if you have access to such utilities).
For example, to configure SCOadmin to use the public domain (and commercially available) ssh utility package, you would create the file /etc/default/scoadmin with the following contents:
