There are several ways in which you can open a terminal window on the desktop. These include:
You can also switch to a console window and log in again, if this is appropriate for the task you want to do. See ``Running programs simultaneously with multiscreen displays'' (under System Management, Administering SCO Systems) for details.
You should see a ``$'' or ``%'' symbol with the cursor positioned next to it. This is the command prompt: you are now ready to start entering commands.
