shserv --
provide the shell service as part of the login process
Synopsis
shserv
Description
The shserv command sets up the basic environment, changes
directories to the user's home directory, and executes the user's shell.
shserv is invoked by the port monitor (ttymon) through
an entry in the _pmtab file; see
ttymon(1M)
and
pmadm(1M).
The home directory, shell, and environment variables are provided to the
command by the port monitor via a STREAM module.
Note that this command cannot be run from the command line.

Exit codes
shserv provides the user's shell on success. On failure
shserv exits with the value of 1 and one of the following
messages:

failed retava in shserv

failed getava of SHELL

failed getava of HOMEDIR
-
unable to change directory to user's home directory
