Starting the EELS database
The EELS daemon starts the database subsystem
based on the information in the database-info configuration
block in
eels_config(4eels).
The following parameters in the database-info configuration
block are used for database startup:
database-start-cmd-
specifies the command to use to start the database
database-log-file-
specifies the name of the log file in which to store any startup information
normally displayed on stdout
The EELS daemon forks and then execs the startup
command and any arguments specified in database-start-cmd.
Any output is redirected to the log file specified in database-log-file.
If the database process dies, the EELS daemon will
automatically restart it. However, if the database continually fails to
restart, eelsd will detect this and then stop trying.
