Performing basic system monitoring and tuning

Setting System Monitor options

There are several System Monitor options you can set. By changing the interval, you can set how often (in seconds) the system reports on the resources you selected. You can also turn on or off the vertical and horizontal grid lines.

Select Actions -> Options and set the desired options:

Interval
Use the up and down arrows or type a new number in the Interval box to change the number of seconds that elapse before the monitor checks system resource usage.

Vertical Grid
to toggle between turning on or off the vertical lines on the display.

Horizontal Grid
toggle between turning on or off the horizontal lines on the display.

Processor #
If you have a multi-processor system, a list of processors appears. Click on the processor you want to monitor. (The message This is a single processor machine appears if you have only one processor on your computer.)
To save your settings, select Actions -> Save Settings.
