/etc/default/privcmds
This file contains parameters whose values affect
the generation and validation of checksums by the
filepriv(1M)
and
initprivs(1M)
commands, respectively:
GEN_CKSUM-
If the value of this parameter is
``No'', then the filepriv
command will not generate a checksum value
for the Privilege Data File (PDF) located in
/etc/security/tcb/privs;
this results in faster performance
compared to generating the checksum value
each time the command is run.
If the value of this parameter is
anything other than ``No''
(including NULL, the default),
then the filepriv
command generates a checksum each time it is run.
VAL_CKSUM-
If the value of this parameter is
``No'', then the initprivs
command will not validate the checksum value stored
in the Privilege Data File (PDF) located in
/etc/security/tcb/privs;
this results in faster performance
compared to validating the checksum value
each time the command is run.
If the value of this parameter is
anything other than ``No''
(including NULL, the default),
then the initprivs
command validates the checksum
each time it is run.
