A file is the basic unit in which the UnixWare system stores information. Files are organized into directories. You can create, update, copy and delete files, and move them between directories, on the desktop:
You may not be allowed to delete certain files. Until you know what you are doing, you should not delete files unless you have created them.
Files are also created, updated, moved and deleted when you work with applications. Until you know what you are doing, you should not move or update files unless you have created them.
