Refresh
Source: CUA, Motif, Windows
Refresh is a command set for updating data lists on the screen.
Applications sometimes do not have auto-refresh for
updated system-generated data, so the user must have a way to
do this manually. Refresh commands provide this
functionality under control of the user.
Characteristics
-
The Refresh options are located in the View menu and
appear as follows:
-
Set Auto Refresh is a command label that leads to a cascaded
menu or a secondary window that allows the user to choose
refresh options.
-
On and Off toggle auto-refresh to on or off states.
-
Interval pops-up a dialog for setting the refresh
interval rate.
-
Refresh Now is an action choice that causes the current
view to be immediately updated to match the underlying
formation.
