Case studies of package installation

This section presents packaging case studies that show packaging techniques such as installing objects conditionally, determining at run time how many files to create, and how to modify an existing data file during package installation and removal.

Each case begins with a description of the study, followed by a list of the packaging techniques it uses and a narrative description of the approach taken when using those techniques. After this material, sample files and scripts associated with the case study are shown.
