When providing a DMI-enabled component, we highly recommend that your product should include the capability of being uninstalled as well the capability of being installed. The uninstall process should ensure that any direct interface component instrumentation, that is running and registered, calls DmiUnregisterCi(3dmi). The uninstall process should then remove the component from the MIF database by calling DmiDeleteComponent(3dmi) to remove outdated component information from the MIF database.
