Backup and RestoreBackup operations allow you to copy the data on your system to another storage medium, such as diskettes or cartridge tapes (archiving).Restore operations allow you to recover information that may have been lost as a result of human or mechanical error. You can use the restore method that corresponds to the backup method used to create the archive volume to restore files, directories, filesystems, data partitions, disks, and partitioning information. There are several means of archiving and restoring data on your UnixWare 7 system.
