Installing NetBIOS
To use NetBIOS facilities, the netbios and inet
packages must have been installed on your system.
If necessary, use the Application Installer to add
these packages to your system.
NOTE:
Although it is possible to install the netbios package
without installing the inet package (which contains TCP/IP),
NetBIOS will not work until the inet package
has been installed, and TCP/IP has been customized and started.
After you install NetBIOS, you may wish to modify the following features:
-
the interfaces that are used by NetBIOS (as defined by their
IP addresses using the Network Configuration Manager)
-
the scope identifier (described in
``Setting the scope identifier'')
-
a number of ``per-user'' variables such as, number of default sessions,
maximum names and maximum commands
