Advanced link device options
The following options define advanced configuration information for a link
device:
Modules pushed before use-
A list of streams modules that must be ``pushed''
onto the device before it can be used by PPP traffic.
The modules and drivers will
be added in the order specified.
The default module pushed for dedicated serial lines, modems and asynchronous
ISDN devices is asyh.
Modules popped before use-
A list of streams modules and drivers
that must be ``popped''
from the device before it can be used.
The modules and drivers will
be removed in the order specified.
The default modules popped for dedicated serial lines, modems and asynchronous
ISDN devices are ttcompat and
ldterm.
Device bandwidth-
An estimate of the available bandwidth on the physical device
in bits per second.
If specified, this value is used when choosing which
device to assign to a link, however, it is ignored
for devices (such as ISDN) that can
provide bandwidth information directly.
NOTE:
You do not normally need to change these settings.
