Using the PPP wizards
The PPP Manager provides two wizards that help you
to set up incoming and outgoing connections quickly and easily.
To start a PPP Manager wizard:
-
In the PPP Manager, select
View Bundles,
and then select
Wizard Add.
-
Select the type of connection that you want to create:
-
Click on Start
to set up outgoing bundle definitions by running the
Outgoing Connection Wizard.
Outgoing PPP links may then be established
to remote access servers. Such servers may be operated
by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or they may
be components of an organizational intranet.
-
Click on Start to
set up incoming bundle definitions by running the
Incoming Connection Wizard.
The system can then act as a remote access server by
letting remote users dial in to establish PPP links.
Once you have used a wizard to set up incoming or outgoing PPP
link configurations, you can use the PPP Manager itself
to modify these. Provided that you have not changed the configurations
beyond the bounds that the wizards understand (such as converting an
incoming bundle into a bi-directional bundle with callback), you can use
a wizard to modify a chosen bundle by selecting
Wizard Modify.
