What to do when connections seem to hang
At times cu requests seem
to take a very long time.
While you are waiting for a cu request to complete,
consider the following:
-
the connection server waits 45 seconds
for each chat script timeout
-
constructions such
as
in:--in:--in:
in chat scripts cause the connection server to wait
for three 45-second timeouts
-
on failure,
the connection server typically retries the entire transmission
Given this, you could easily see five minutes go
by before a cu request reports an error.
If this occurs,
you can use the connection server
in debug mode
so you can see where the timeouts are going
and why it is taking so long.
See
``Using the connection server in debug mode''
for more information.
Using cu -v can also provide an indication of
what is happening.
