Resuming a driver instance
Before resuming a driver instance, the controller must be
inserted in a slot, and the slot must be powered on.
A driver instance can only be resumed if it is currently suspended
(appears in the Suspended Driver Instances list), and at least one
controller has no device driver bound to it.
If you just replaced a controller, verify that the suspended driver
instance can support the new controller before resuming the driver instance.
You can resume use of a suspended driver instance in either of two ways.
-
Select a suspended driver instance from the Suspended Driver Instances list,
then select
Operations Resume Driver
.
The Hot Plug Manager then presents you with a list of
controllers for which no driver is currently bound.
Select a controller to bind the driver to.
-
Select a device, then select
Operations Resume Driver
.
The Hot Plug Manager then presents you with a list of suspended
driver instances.
Select the driver instance you want to bind to the controller.
