If a driver is bound to a controller, you must suspend the driver instance before power can be turned off to its slot. If the controller supports multiple devices, you must suspend each driver instance bound to a device. See ``Suspending a driver instance''.
To turn power off for a slot, select a slot, then select
Operations
Power Off
.
When a slot containing a hot plugable controller is successfully powered off, the Power indicator turns grey. Inside the machine, the power LED next to the slot turns off (if your machine has one).
Preferences
to enable a confirmation dialog before turning power off,
or to specify that slots should be automatically
powered-off when the driver instance for the controller in a slot
has been suspended.
