Working with diskettes
Suggestions for managing diskettes
Whenever you format diskettes, format an entire box at once and label the box clearly so you know the diskettes are already formatted.
To avoid inadvertently erasing data, use the write-protect tab on the diskette before you start copying files from a diskette to another medium.
Keep multiple copies (backups) of important data.
Store your diskettes in a clean, dry place away from strong electro-magnetic fields.
