Porting drivers to SCO OpenServer 5 from earlier SCO releases
NOTE:
This chapter has not been reviewed for the current release.
The information is generally accurate,
although some details may have changed.
Check the appropriate manual pages
for the most current information.
Every attempt has been made to preserve
backward compatibility for drivers written for
earlier releases of SCO operating systems.
Existing drivers should be recompiled
to capture the new header files.
Ideally, drivers should be recompiled with
the native SCO OpenServer 5 USL C compiler.
Some drivers will link into the kernel
if compiled with the legacy Microsoft C compiler
but we cannot guarantee that this will work.
