Compiling and linking on AIX 5L
On AIX 5L systems, do the following:
-
Change to the subdirectory where the driver code is located
and issue the make command to recompile the driver:
cd <working_directory>/<xxx>
make
This builds and links your driver into a file named
<xxx> with no extensions.
-
If there are compilation errors,
resolve them and recompile.
-
Build the kernel extension object for your driver;
this is used to perform the reset to text sequence.
This file is built in the ext subdirectory
for your working directory, in a file named
vga_ext_<xxx>.
