Porting graphics drivers
Porting a graphics driver can mean many things.
For example it can mean any one of the following:
-
creating a driver to run on the X server.
In that case you are really porting the server
to use a new graphics adapter.
-
modifying an existing
X graphics driver
to run on a different kernel,
-
modifying as part of a different X server,
or to support a different device.
As much as possible,
the NFB interface is the same
on all supported systems.
Known porting issues related to
an individual function, structure, or file
are presented on the manual page
for the structure, function, or file.
