Using SCODB on SVR5
SVR5 supports the SCO OpenServer 5
SCODB debugger as an alternative to the
kdb
debugger.
Current SCO OpenServer 5 releases include
an updated version of the SCODB debugger.
See
``Using SCODB on SCO OpenServer 5''
for information about using the SCO OpenServer 5 version.
NOTE:
This topic details the use of the SCODB
debugger on SVR5 Release 7.1 and earlier releases.
If you are running SCODB on a newer release
(for example, Release 7.1.1) refer to the
scodb(1M) manual page.
The following conventions are used throughout
this topic:
-
Examples use the following format:
debug0:1
is system output
(the SCODB prompt in this case);
bp s5readi
is user input.
debug0:1> bp s5readi
-
<Del> denotes user input of ASCII DEL (octal
0177), or ``delete''.
-
<Esc> denotes user input of ASCII ESC (octal
033), or ``escape''.
-
<Space> denotes user input of ASCII SP (octal 040),
or ``space''.
-
A quit character is any one of <Del>, q, or Q.
