Commands for sfs filesystems
Because
sfs
filesystems use alternate inodes,
it is important to use the
sfs
variants of all commands that either report or manipulate
inode
information.
In most cases, the commands for
sfs
filesystems use the generic command interface with the
-F sfs
option.
This option makes the generic command
invoke the correct version for
sfs
filesystems.
The following commands all have
sfs
variants:
df(1M)-
Reports free disk space on filesystems.
When the command reports
the number of free and used inodes,
it will report only on even-numbered inodes.
fsck(1M)-
Checks and repairs filesystems.
fsdb(1M)-
A filesystem debugger.
labelit(1M)-
Provides labels for
sfs
filesystems.
(These labels are not sensitivity labels.)
mkfs(1M)-
Constructs filesystems.
mount(1M)-
Mounts a filesystem that has been created by
mkfs.
ncheck(1M)-
Prints a list of pathnames, based on inodes.
The inodes numbers given to the command must be even.
volcopy(1M)-
Makes
a literal copy of a filesystem.
For details, see the manual pages for
these commands.
